EMBRACE Mobility is ready to meet your driving rehabilitation needs with over 20 years of experience! Serving Southeastern Massachusetts, Cape and Islands, EMBRACE Mobility Services offers specialized occupational therapy services to promote driving performance. We are an adaptive driving rehabilitation program and driving school.
Driver rehabilitation is a specialized field that focuses on helping individuals with medical conditions or disabilities assess and improve their driving function. As a Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist (CDRS) and an occupational therapist, I possess advanced training through industry certification and a significant medical background essential for assisting clients in assessing their driving capabilities following a health or medical change, or due to a progressive or developmental medical conditions. Through an evidence based comprehensive evaluation we can truly understand any potential barriers to driving and work to remediate challenges while promoting driver fitness.
EMBRACE Mobility Services offers thorough driver evaluations, feedback, and if indicated rehabilitation for adult drivers with complex medical needs due to acute or progressive conditions.
EMBRACE advocates for new drivers with disabilities, providing specialized resources, assessments to gauge driving readiness, coaching, and individualized passenger awareness, pre-driving skill practices to develop a mobility solution to engage in educational and community activities. Adolescents 15-25 are eligible. 1:1 in vehicle training provided.
